Service Description: Provides a wide range of community-based and culturally appropriate programs and services for Indigenous people living in an urban environment

  • Administers programs and services to improve the quality of life for urban Indigenous people in the Sioux Lookout area with a focus on social, educational and cultural development
  • Provides a meeting place for urban Indigenous people and community members regardless of nationality
  • Works to build a bridge of understanding between Native and non-Native people
  • Hosts traditional, cultural events including a weekly community culture night offering a meal and fellowship for all community members
  • Offers hall rentals for other community events

    • Intake assessment required for each program

    • All programs require advance registration
    Eligibility / Target Population:
    • Open to all with a focus on urban Indigenous individuals and their families

    • Membership preferred but not mandatory
