Service Description: Provides residential support services at Clarissa Manor for women recovering from addictions and at Del-Art Manor for men recovering from addictions

Provides residential support services for women recovering from addictions
  • Provides a safe, sober and stable environment for individuals working on sobriety
  • Accepts up to 9 female clients who are pre/post treatment
  • Offers minimal telephone counseling and referrals
  • Program length varies between 3-6 months of stabilization and treatment
Offers the following residential services:
  • Case management
  • Individual and group counseling
  • Healthy lifestyle counseling
  • Coaching and life skills
  • Managing and dispensing of medications
  • Relapse prevention and stabilization support
  • Cultural and spiritual support
  • Encouragement for attending 12-step programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous
  • Assistance with community reintegration
  • Support for individuals with children in care with Child and Family Services
  • Information and referral for outside helps such as medical and legal services

Application:
  • Requires completion of comprehensive assessment

  • Will consider referrals from any source
Eligibility / Target Population:
  • Women only 18 years of age and older

  • Must demonstrate a level of dependence on alcohol and/or drugs

  • Must be detoxified from alcohol and/or drugs a minimum of 3 days and be able to participate in daily programs

  • May require a psychiatric assessment or forensic report if client is referred from hospital or justice system

  • Maximum stay is 6 months

  • Will accept women outside Northwestern Ontario if space available
