Service Description: Operates an emergency crisis shelter for abused women and their children who have experienced domestic violence

  • Operates a 24/7 emergency shelter for abused women and their children
  • Coordinates support services for residents
  • Provides a 24-hour crisis line
  • Offers an on-site counsellor
  • Accepts donations of clothing and household items
  • Provides guidance and assistance in accessing geared-to-income housing in community
  • Offers a Family Court Support Worker Program
  • Second Stage Housing
    Offers a secure ten unit apartment building that provides safe, affordable housing for women and their children
    • Counselling services provided
    • Transitional Housing Support Worker Program

    Application:
    • Second Stage Housing requires a completed application and signed lease agreement

    • Transitional Housing Support worker assists in the housing application and submits along with other supporting documents to the Property Manager
    Eligibility / Target Population: Women 16 years of age and older and their children who have been experiencing or fleeing domestic violence/ abuse.
