Service Description:

Provides peer support for the day to day needs of its members who share similar experiences with mental health and/or concurrent disorders
Provides peer support for the day to day needs of its members with a Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Strength Based ApproachProvides socialization opportunities for members to aid in their recoveryProvides mental health education to members and mental health awareness to people in the communityDirects members in finding appropriate personnel to meet their needsDevelops and maintains communication with all existing persons involved with members' care, as requested by members

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
- Anyone, aged 16 years of age or older, having direct experience as a consumer of mental health services
- Must promise to conduct themselves appropriately in working towards the goals of the Peer Council
- Must be a Member of the Peer Council to attend functions provided by the organization
