Functions as a medical clinic in which Nurse Practitioners are the lead providers of primary health careOffers a walk-in clinic
Nurse Practitioner-led medical clinic
- Nurse practitioners (NP) are registered nurses with advanced university education who provide personalized, quality health care to patients
- Works in partnership with Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Dietitians, Social Workers and collaboratively with Physicians
Offers a variety of health care services including:
- counselling and education
- diagnosing and treating illness and/or injuries
- ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- performing physical check-ups
- referrals to family physicians, specialists and other health professionals
- supportive care through illness
- treatments and/or procedures
- writing prescriptions
Provides a walk-in clinic for registered patients
