Service Description: Provides supportive housing and community support services for seniors and community members with disabilities

Offers an adult activity centre for individuals living in their own home who have chronic health issues or little social contact due to isolation or memory loss
  • Provides respite for caregivers
  • Offers return transportation between home and centre
  • Provides a daily hot lunch and snacks
  • Loans out assistive technology for short-term use only such as walkers and raised toilet seats
  • Provides a monthly events calendar online or at office
Activities include:
  • Computer classes and instruction
  • Craft making sessions
  • Exercise programs
  • Guest speakers and entertainers
  • Information sessions on health and safety related topics (ie diabetes, fire safety)
  • Music sing-alongs
  • Outings to community events
  • Parties and social gatherings
  • Walking groups

Fees: Program - Minimal fees on a drop-in or monthly basis

  • Intake assessment required
Eligibility / Target Population: Focus is on seniors 60 years and older, but will accept individuals 18 years of age and older with one or more of the following:

  • Have chronic health conditions

  • Are socially isolated

  • Are at-risk for placement in long-term care

  • Need restorative or rehabilitative services

  • Have physical, emotional, or memory challenges

  • Have acquired brain injury
