Service Description:

Operates a mutual support group for injured workers and their families

Operates a mutual support group for injured workers and their families
Provides the following Injured Worker Outreach Services (IWOS):

Offers advice and assistance on how to handle injured worker claims
Provides information about the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) policies and procedures
Provides peer support and counselling
Advises workers about other agencies that offer help to injured workers
Participates in law reform to improve the system
Provides public education about the needs and problems of injured workers and workers compensation issues

Also coordinates meetings in Ear Falls upon request

Requires completion of General Membership Intake Application

Eligibility / Target Population:

Any Canadian citizen who is interested in improving the workers compensation system in Canada; do not have to be an injured worker
